CLC is the largest children's legal services organization in the nation, with over 600 employees serving 28,000 children and young adults in the Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Placer County child welfare systems.CLC is looking to hire a dedicated Grant Billing Specialist to join our growing Finance team. We are a 500+ employee-focused nonprofit organization with an annual budget of over $70 million. Reporting to the Controller, the Grant Billing Specialist is responsible for the billing of the government contracts. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and proactive team player able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. While this position is primarily remote, the successful candidate will be expected to be present at our Monterey Park headquarters approximately twice a month.Responsibilities:Monitor grant expenses, provide grant and financial reconciliation, and conduct research-related financial reportingWork collaboratively with accounting, payroll, other employees/vendors to ensure billing accuracyPrepare grant invoices and ensure the compliance of program guidelines before final submission to the government agencyTrack and report grant budgetsDevelop project plans to meet all deadlines and compliance requirementsPerform various other accounting and administrative duties as requiredQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar finance-related areaMinimum of 3-5 years of working experience in accounting/billing; grant billing experience preferredAdvanced Excel skills and analytical skillsStrong written and verbal communications, and the ability to interact with employees and government agenciesMust be eligible to work in the United StatesMust reside in the Southern California areaMust be able to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination plus booster statusCompensation & Benefits:The pay range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000, based on relevant experience as determined by CLC.
