Job Description:

Broadway Equipment Company is a family owned car wash manufacturer based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota that has been in business for the past 40 years selling to car dealerships world-wide. Broadway Equipment is looking for full-time 1099 Independent Contractors to handle San Jose CA and the surrounding areas. The applicant must be self-motivated, dedicated, dependent, hard-working and possess great communication skills to help keep us the leader in the industry. Many of our current Independent Contractors have been working with us for many years and have made this opportunity a long-term career choice.

Responsibilities of the Field Service Technician:

* New car wash installations

* Monthly preventative maintenance contracts

* Emergency repairs

* Offer suggestions to customers for recommended repairs

* Delivering soap to our existing and expanding customer base

* Broadway will supply a list of work to be done over the course of any given month and needs to be completed as Contractor and customer sees fit

* Email completed paperwork to Broadway’s corporate office weekly

* This is a 1099 contract position and the technician will be responsible for their own taxes and insurances

Requirements of the Field Service Technician:

* Have the ability to work independently or with another Independent Contractor

* Be able to speak professionally and knowledgably with customers

* Possess basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and electricity

* Own their own set of basic hand tools

* 40+ Hours Per Week

* High School Education (or equivalent) at a minimum

* Have the ability to lift 50 pounds

* Be able to climb an 8’ step ladder

* Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

* Minimal overnight travel

* Having past field service experience is a plus
