Overview:
JOB SUMMARY: The Surgery Clinical Coordinator is a clinically competent in all specialties, registered, professional nurse who prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care to the invasive/operative patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Evaluates clinical needs and learning opportunities for all classifications of care givers in assigned unit by staff input, physician feedback, performance improvement activities, variance report tracking, and advance in clinical knowledge and practice. Coordinates the shift operation activities to meet to assessed needs for staff development, new employee orientation, and new technology and expertise education. May perform direct patient care and take oncall during staffing shortage.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING1. Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing graduate.2. Current license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California.3. Current BCLS and ACLS (AHA).4. BSN preferred.5. Proficiency in both written and oral English.6. CNOR preferred.7. Three years operating room circulating experience in an acute hospital
