Overview

Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is a 101 bed acute care community hospital. We are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg Unit. This RN position is a full time 12 hour, days shift position. This RN position reports to the Clinical Director of Med/Surg. Monterey Park Hospital has provided our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 40 years. New Grads welcome!

Responsibilities

The Med/Surg RN provides care, treatment, counseling and health education to the hospitalized patient. The RN is responsible for planning and coordination of care across the continuum. This planning and coordination includes meeting and exceeding compliance with core measures, contributes to reduction in LOS, active participation with all aspects of quality, safety and performance improvement activities, collaboration with all the members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients, family members, physicians and the public. Meets and exceeds CDPH, The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. BSN preferred. One year of acute care experience preferred. Current CA RN license, ACLS, BLS and PALS required. Proficiency in both written and oral English.
