ICU/Critical Care RN in Riverside, California, 92501! Job Title:

(ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12
hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Current RN
license Certifications: ACLS BLS NIH Must-Have: ACLS BLS NIH More
than 1 year experience in ICU Description: The position is for a
registered nurse in the ICU. The unit features both Medical
Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
beds. The MICU has 35 beds while the SICU has 34 beds. Patient
ratios are typically 1:2 or 1:1 depending on the acuity of the
patients. Staffing on the unit includes one unit secretary for the
SICU and one Patient Care Technician in the MICU. Types of
equipment utilized include tele monitors, EV1000, bladder scanners,
and various ventilators. Documentation is completed using a
Meditech system. Staff is required to float to Telemetry,
Step-down, and ICU as needed. Patient experience requirements
include prior ICU experience. Requested skill set includes
titration of drips, neuro management, trauma experience,
tracheostomy care, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical
ventilation, chest drainage, thoracentesis, urinary catheter
insertion, dialysis (SLED), external ventricular drains (EVD), and
continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). Advanced skills needed
include management of arterial lines, central venous catheters,
cardiac monitoring, pulmonary artery catheters, lumbar drains, and
external ventricular drains. Procedures performed on the unit
include chest tube insertion, tracheostomy, bronchoscopy, and
intubation. The required uniform consists of blue scrubs.
