Job Description:

SUMMARY: Organizes, maintains, keep records and assists all areas related to contracting and Sub-IPA. Acts as liaison between different departments within NMM from credentialing department to terms & condition to ensure agreements are updated correctly in Ez-Cap systems and communicate with all departments. Follow up with providers and vendors to ensure agreements are received and return. Keep accurate logs of all the different type of agreements. Assists with phone queue. Assists with all activity related to Sub-IPA from arranging meetings to maintaining the minutes. Support other various projects as assigned by supervisor.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.Assume day-to-day administrative responsibilities of the Contract Specialists.Prepares, generates, assembles, mails, tracks and follows up on all agreements.Build, organize and maintain both digital and hard copies of providers & vendors agreements.Scan documents and file them appropriately.Draft agreements in conjunction with various specifications. Update's boilerplates to reflect any changes deemed necessary or as required by NCQA, Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS) and/or any other governing bodies.Collaborate with other departments to investigate any discrepancies or missing pieces of information.Communicate and follow up with providers & vendors to obtain missing information such as NPI, tax ID, other necessary information and to ensure agreements are return with proper signatures and fully executed.Follow up with providers and vendors to make sure they received agreements and to return in a timely manner.Communicate changes in agreements with other departments.A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Must be highly organized.To effectively interface with providers, vendors, and other departments to successfully monitor and implement agreements in place.Follow up on items that may arise during negotiation, drafting and executing of agreements.Performs data analysis (reporting) for agreements decision support purposes.Manages, coordinates, documents and development projects.Prepare and analyze reports for committee meetings. Contributes to team effort.Assists with answering phone queue.Engage in administrative tasks to assists with other departments when requested.Assists in all activity and managing related to all Sub-IPAs'.Maintaining and protecting information of confidentiality.Good judgments to plan and accomplish goals. Able to multi tasks.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.Excellent communication, reading, spelling and editing skills.Detail-oriented and be able to engage in exhaustive investigation when initial information is vague.Intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Windows Explorer and internet research.Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Ability to understand and work with proprietary software applications.Organizational ability and ability to exercise good judgment.Typing speed 50+ WPM and knowledge of 10 key desired.Ability to contract negotiations, which include contract template reviews and drafting of agreements.Great organization skills and willing to handle large amount of filing.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years experience in working with excel, accounting, clerical, and office setting. Master's degree from a four-year college and/or a professional certification requiring formal education beyond a four-year college in Health Care Administration, Business Administration and knowledge of HMO is a plus.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.#LPIND
