Job Description:
Description Helping Veterans Secure and Sustain Permanent
Housing The Housing Navigator supports veterans and their families
through every step of the housing journey, from search and
application to move in and short term stabilization. This role
works closely with HUD VASH and community partners to remove
barriers, coordinate housing placements, and support long term
housing success. This position is ideal for someone who is
relationship driven, organized, and motivated by real world impact
in homelessness and housing services. What You’ll Do • Manage a
caseload of veterans seeking permanent housing • Partner with HUD
VASH Social Workers and participate in case conferencing • Assist
with housing searches, unit viewings, applications, and lease
related documentation • Maintain complete and accurate housing
application files • Coordinate move in logistics and short term
housing stabilization services • Provide brief case management and
connect clients to healthcare, benefits, legal aid, and employment
resources • Conduct outreach to engage new and hard to reach
clients • Build and maintain landlord relationships in coordination
with partner agencies • Maintain records of outreach activity,
housing inventory, placements, and outcomes • Participate in
community meetings, trainings, and program specific requirements
Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in social services, social work,
or a related field • Experience working with low income, homeless,
or underserved populations • Familiarity with housing navigation,
supportive housing, or subsidized housing programs • Strong
communication, organization, and follow through • Comfort working
in the field and across multiple agencies • Proficiency in
Microsoft Office 365 • Flexible availability including evenings and
weekends • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and
ability to meet insurance requirements Preferred • Experience with
HUD VASH, SSVF, or supportive housing programs • Experience working
